RKL eSolutions is transitioning the Sage 300 client base to Acumen Information Systems effective July 1st, 2021.

Acumen and RKL have worked together for many years sharing resources, knowledge and client projects. RKL considered several other Sage 300 Partners, but the choice to choose Acumen was made easier because of our existing relationship.

Acumen has an exceptional reputation, experienced staff, many existing Sage 300 clients and is very popular in the Sage 300 community. Both Acumen and RKL share the same culture and beliefs because we value every client relationship as a partnership and are committed to helping clients develop and implement solutions that will ensure optimization, success, and profitability. 

Acumen is absolutely delighted to welcome the new Sage 300 customers into the family and is eager to strategically find new ways to enhance their Sage 300 software investment. Acumen and RKL have collaborated for many years on Sage projects and will work together to make this transition as seamless as possible.

A Brief Introduction to our Acumen Teams

Account Management Team

We align every customer with an Acumen Account Manager. Your Account Manager is your main point of contact and will build a relationship with you, keep you updated with new technologies, new products and provide continuous education on all things Sage. The AM team is not technical and does not answer technical support questions but will assist you with general questions regarding your software solution.

This includes:

  • Educational Services
  • Free Training Videos
  • In-person visits – Where possible
  • Bi-Weekly Webinars on all things Sage
  • Keep you informed on industry changes and new technologies
  • Plan and schedule meetings/conference calls
  • Ensure inquiries have been attended to in a satisfactory, timely manner
  • Help you with internal communication with Acumen support or technical consultants
Operations Team

Acumen is privileged to have some of the best Sage 300 consultants in North America with hundreds of years of combined experience. Our consultants are experts who will work with you to help plan, design, educate and develop solutions. In addition, they also support customers with training and upgrades for Sage solutions.

All our consultants can work directly with customers in person, online, or over the phone. Acumen is one of very few Sage Select partners in North America with a fully accredited team who also have backgrounds and experience in business not just Sage software. Our main culture at Acumen is to educate our clients to a level of self-sufficiency. We have been fortunate to have educated hundreds of Sage 300 clients who continue to enjoy the huge benefits that Sage can offer.

In addition to consultants, we also have a team of developers who know the Sage 300 solution incredibly well. If a customization of modification is needed in Sage 300, our developers can help.. Our team has developed a range of import and automation tools called “Acumen Tools”. These products have been designed to increase accuracy, automation and save time with various Sage 300 processes.

Support Team

Acumen provides a fully managed support service desk that operates using a ticket assignment system based upon severity and urgency of the support requests. Our experienced professionals are dedicated to resolving Sage and third-party related issues in a timely manner. Whether you have a simple question or a crashed server, our Sage experts can help!

Many clients also benefit from our Managed Service Plans or Customer Success Plans as we like to call them. Our plans are designed to improve the relationship, eliminate sporadic billing and invoices, and fast track these clients into quicker access to our development teams where necessary. Fun Fact: Acumen is home to the top Sage 300 consultant in North America, Jay Converse, also known as the “Sage 300 Whisperer”. With over 50 years of consulting experience, Jay is a regular responder to the inquiries on the Sage City Forum and his fame as the whisperer has far surpassed his own name. “I need the whisperer” is now a common statement.

Project Management Team

Our Acumen Project Management team are the time and gatekeepers. Their role on each project is to ensure milestones are met, objectives are achieved, and the project remains on time and on budget. Acumen has extensive knowledge in small and large-scale implementations and understands that every organization is unique. In addition to being Project Managers we are also Culture Change Managers and work with all types of demands.

The project team will proactively be involved from the outset of each project and will:

  • Ensure that your understanding of the process is clear.
  • Highlight, assess, and discuss with you any risks involved.
  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of everyone involved.
  • Outline the intended workflow of project delivery.
  • Define the rules of engagement for the management of the project.
  • Detail the requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition, to ensure the success of your project, all of our Project Managers are qualified with Sage and complete annual examinations to remain Sage accredited.
